PRAYING PARTNERS # 28

NEWSLETTER OF SOUTH EAST ASIA BIBLE COLLEGE, YANGON, MYANMAR

November 2013

Mid-term Exams

(2nd Semester): By God’s grace and your partnerships, we could continued the second semester

of 2013 academic year. Time is going fast and the students had their Mid-term exam last week (from Nov. 4-8,

2013).

Eyeglasses:

Nine students from SEABC had eye problems but they could not afford to have eye test and to buy

eyelasses.  They prayed for their needs. On October 2nd, 2013, the Lord graciously answered their prayers and provided the needed funds for the costs of eye test and eyeglasses through a believer.  They now can

clearly see and read their lessons and Bible. May the Lord richly bless our brother for his loving hands towards those needy students. Praise the Lord!

Open Bibles from Opal Trust (UK):

By God’s grace, the ten final year students thankfully received Open Bibles which had been donated by

Opal Trust & EOS (UK). And we also gave (we sold some of them with a very low price) NIV Study Bibles

to some other students and elders/pastors from different places. We are so thankful to our good Lord for

giving those wonderful Bibles to us through Opal Trust and believers from EOS (UK).

Books for SEABC Library:

By God’s grace, we thankfully received books from Folio Press (USA) through bro. John Bjorlie, Bro.

Bentley Tate and his friends last month October.

SEABC Students’ Outreach Ministry:

As our God of Mission graciously provides some funds especially for the Evangelistic Outreach ministry of SEABC, the faculty members and students are joyfully and effectively doing the outreach ministry by distributing Gospel tracts, sharing and preaching the Gospel to non-Christians especially in the slum areas, sea

port, market places and rail stations. By God’s helps, over 7000 Gospel tracts had been distributed to more

than 7000 people during the last four months.

Bro. Khual (a faculty) and four students from SEABC had Gospel trip to Pyapon, Delta area from

November 8-10, 2013. The students visited some families (unbelievers) from the slum area and shared

about the Gospel and prayed for them. Some of them are very much interested in the love of God. Please

remember them in your prayers for their salvation. The students (Ms. K. Zin Oo, Ms. Dar Khu Saw, Mr.

Awl Lian and Mr. Khai Lay) conducted Sunday School Program. They taught them Sunday School action

songs and sharing about the Gospel. The children really enjoyed the Sunday School program and

especially coloring pictures. Bro. Khual preached the Word of God at Sunday worship service on Nov. 10,

2013. The audience had been strengthened and edified by hearing the Word of God.

Bible Training for Church Leaders:

Pastors/elders and leaders from some churches are getting old and physically not active because of illness. And some of those churches do not have younger people who are teachable and able to teach the Word of

God to believers from their local churches. Many young people from Myanmar (also from born again

churches) left the country and work mostly in Thailand and Malaysia, etc. So, we prayed and started a

Three month-Bible Training from October 1st, 2013especially for some churches which indeed need

leaders/pastors(elders).

Prayer Requests:

(1) For the 6th Biennial Graduation Service of SEABC to be held on Dec. 13th, 2013 at Judson Church

Building in Yangon.

(2) For SEABC’s ministry plans for 2014 (Evangelistic meetings, Youth Camps, Leaders Seminar, Gospel

trips, literature ministry, Children ministry, etc.)

Serving together for CHRIST,
