Dear praying partners,

Loving Christian greetings! Thank you so much for your continued prayers and partnership.

Training for C: I (Kap) was invited to teach on “How to share the Gospel to Different people groups/tribes in Myanmar” at Christian Workers Training Center, located in Hlaingthayar, Yangon, on January 20, 2014. There were four persons (3 missionaries and one pastor) from four different mission fields. We know that there is only One Gospel, but we can present it in Many Ways. I had very good and beneficial times of teaching and discussion. By the way, the official name of one of the persons is Mr. Cyclone. He was born while a Cyclone severely hitting his village in 1975. He is now an effective evangelist and church planter.

 Evangelistic Meeting (Crusade): The Evangelistic meeting (Crusade) was held in Nagkateh village, Khampat township, close to India from February 12-15, 2014. The Gospel preacher was Mr. Thang Khan Khual, a faculty member of SE Asia Bible College. There were two sessions – New Life Training (teaching on Salvation) in day time, and Evangelistic meeting (Crusade) in the evening. The evangelistic meeting held in night time was attended by around 200 people. The New Life Training held in Day time was attended by around 80. Most of the attendees were nominal Christians who believe that Salvation by faith and good works. By God’s grace, 37 people clearly realized that they can get Salvation by faith in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8., Titus. 3:4-5) and accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. 

N.T. Bibles Distribution: The Lord provided over 1,000 Bibles (N.T) and Students from SE Asia Bible College and Faith Baptist Theological Seminary are distributing some copies of them to some believers who indeed need it and longing to read the Word of God. We strictly gave advice to our students not to distribute the Bibles as Gospel tracts to everybody. Please pray for the Lord’s guidance in distributing the Bibles in different parts of Myanmar. We gave advice to our students that if some believers (who do not have the Bible) can afford to buy then let them buy it with a less cost. 

Evangelism and Church Planting in Tharketah (a slum area of Yangon): Believers from Canaan Gospel Church and Bro. Sein Tun (alumni of SEABC) are doing evangelism and church planting in Tharketah area since March 2010.  Some faculty members from SEABC usually attend worship service and preach the Word of God. The worship place which is a believer’s small house (hut) are getting very old and damaged.  Bro. Sein Tun and some believers removed the old house and plan to build a new house (still a hut). We are so thankful to our good Lord for providing necessary funds for building a small/new house (hut). There are over 30 believers and over 30 Sunday school students. Please pray with us that the Lord will provide a land and worship hall to be owned by Tharketah Assembly (Church) in the future. Thank you so much for all your prayers and partnerships.
